Third day of Qualifying for the 12BET.com UK Championships in Sheffield and the second round has began. All the players who won their first round matches and the players ranked 49-64 were battling it out for a third round place, one of these was Malta's best; Tony Drago. Another victor was Peter Lines who made it to the quarter-finals in last year's tournament.

Day 2 at UK championship qualifiers in Sheffield, where the first round ties are all nearly over. The young guns were out in force today and most managed to win their matches, including Welshman Michael White. Although it wasn't the best of days for Women's World Champion Reanne Evans though.

Now that the 12 Players Tour Championship events are over we now know who will be making the trip to Dublin next March for the finals. Few well established names but loads of newcomers also have made it. The most consistent of which was Shaun Murphy.

Michael Holt shrugged off a bad start to the season today, by defeating Scotland's no.1 John Higgins in the final 4-3 of EPTC6, Prague.
