Since returning to the professional tour last year, Tony Drago has been the most consistent player in the qualifying rounds, winning at least his first round match in every major ranking event. In his trademark fashion, he didn't waste any time in beating Liam Highfield 9-4. He now faces PTC winner Tom Ford in the next round, could he make his first televised ranking appearance since last year's Welsh Open?

In last year's UK Championship, Leeds journeyman Peter Lines stunned the snooker world by reaching the quarter-finals and beating Mark Williams on route. He is on path back to Telford once again after a tense final frame decider against Andrew Pagett, eventually clearing on the colours to win the match 9-8. He now faces strong opposition in the form of experienced pro Nigel Bond.
