John Higgins has continued to astonish the Snooker world again today, making a second consecutive PTC final. In the last 16 he beat Mark Allen 4-1, Stuart Bingham 4-1 and Joe Jogia 4-2 for the second week in a row, to reach the finals. He will now play the winner of the Shaun Murphy v Michael Holt match. Murphy who also reached the finals last week has playing extremely well the last couple of tournaments and beat former World Champion's Ken Doherty and Peter Ebdon both 4-2.
What does this mean for the players at the bottom of the order of merit? Well unfortunately for young Scot Anthony McGill, because Joe Jogia reached the semi finals he sits in 27th place and wont qualify for the televised PTC finals next year. Joe will though and has shown some good stuff in the last month, reaching 2 PTC semi finals. If Michael Holt goes on to win the tournament he will knock English pro Barry Hawkins off the list and snatch his spot in the finals.
UPDATE: Holt comes back from 3-1 to beat Murphy 4-3. First PTC final for Holt and he had to beat 4 top 16 players on route here, well done!
UPDATE 2: Holt shocks the Wizard and wins 4-3! More details here.
