The draw for this year's Power Snooker event at Event City, Manchester 19-20 November has been revealed. The tournament will be called the Power Snooker Masters and features the world's top 16 players competing for the £25,000 top prize.

World Snooker today announced proposed changes to the structure of the professional Snooker tour in order to further growth in the sport. These include increasing the main tour to 128 player and changing how players are ranked by prize money earnt.

Snookers best known players make a return to Ireland this month in the Alex Higgins International Trophy (PTC8) at the Killarney Convention Centre, Killarney. Held from October 20-23 players such as Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, John Higgins and local hero Ken Doherty are all set to appear.
