The draw for this year's Power Snooker event at Event City, Manchester 19-20 November has been revealed. The tournament will be called the Power Snooker Masters and features the world's top 16 players competing for the £25,000 top prize.

I went to the first Power Snooker event at the o2 Arena, London in October of last year and I was impressed with the set up. It turned out to be quite a fun event to spectate live but when watching it back on the television the jeering and singing of the crowd seemed to overpower what was going on, on the snooker table. Hopefully with a new arena and a broader range of players involved it will be more successful than the last one.
