Ronnie O'Sullivan has successfully started the defence of his Betfair World Snooker Championship title with a 10-4 win over Marcus Campbell on the first day of the tournament. Elsewhere there was mixed starts for debutants Jack Lisowski & Michael White in their opening matches.

The full draw and the match schedule has been released for the Betfair World Snooker Championship 2013 at the Crucible. Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan takes on Marcus Campbell on the first day and former champion Graeme Dott takes on another, Peter Ebdon.

Jack Lisowski, Michael White, Ben Woollaston & Thailand's Dechawat Poomjaeng will all be making their debut appearance at the Betfair World Snooker Championship this month after coming through qualifying at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

Tom Ford recovered from 3-1 down to beat Jack Lisowski 4-3 and become the first man through to the quarter-finals at the Dafabet PTC Grand Finals in Galway. Due to earlier matches running late, the match didn't finish until just before midnight.

Alfie Burden pulled off the biggest win of his pro career so far, beating world no.1 Judd Trump 4-3 at the Dafabet PTC Grand Finals in Galway, which included a 113 in the decider from the Londoner.

The Northern Irish duo of Mark Allen & Joe Swail both made it through their matches on the first day of action at the Dafabet PTC Grand Finals 2013 in Galway, Ireland. 

'The Pistol' Mark Allen has successfully defended his Haikou World Open title on Hainan Island in China. He comfortably beat Matthew Stevens 10-4 in Sunday's final.
