Ding Junhui has made the fifth maximum, 147 break of his professional career today at the Dafabet PTC Grand Finals in Galway. It came in the first frame of his quarter-final match against Mark Allen.

China's no.1 Ding Junhui has always been known as a prolific break builder in his short career, having already already made over 200 centuries in his nine years as a professional.

He has also previously made four maximum 147 breaks, most recently having made two in successive PTC events in 2011. 

Today in the first frame of his Dafabet PTC Grand Finals quarter-final encounter against Mark Allen he added yet another one to his tally, to the delight of the Galway crowd.

Ding is only 25 years old and has all the chance to overtake Ronnie O'Sullivan's and Stephen Hendry's record of 11 professional maximum's, especially with all the events that are on the calendar at the moment.

Unless someone else matches his break, he stands to take home a £3,000 bonus. Not bad for one frame of snooker! Check out the break in the video below.
