After an exciting first day of action at the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters where both Mark Selby and Ali Carter lost to lower seeds Mark King and Peter Ebdon respectively, I was in attendance of the second day with more shocks to come in the Ding v Williams and Dott v Higgins matches.

Its the start of a new year and that can only mean one thing in Snooker. The return to Wembley for Snooker's most prestigious non-ranking event. The 2011 Ladbrokes Mobile Masters! Tipped for the title this year include Ronnie O'Sullivan, John Higgins and defending champion Mark Selby.
The draw for the televised stages of the German Masters was revealed today by World Snooker. The event takes part between the 2th and 6th of February at the Tempodrom in Berlin. One of the top ties puts rising star Jack Lisowski against Belgium prodigy Lucal Brecel in the Wildcard round.
With only a few days before it starts, Snooker's third most prestigious ranking event has found a sponsor. The 2011 Masters is to be sponsored by one of the country's top bookmakers Ladbrokes and will be known as the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters.
The draw for the 2011 Welsh Open qualifiers and the televised stages in Newport has been released by World Snooker. One of the most exciting possible ties include Jimmy White against Ronnie O'Sullivan and Welsh No.1 Mark Williams could face Marco Fu.
It's the end of the year and the end of professional competition for a few weeks until the Masters in January, so it's time to give out some awards to some players that have achieved the most on the baize over the last 12 months. Who will win the coveted Maximum Snooker Player of the Year title?
It was the final of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) Mens, Masters & Ladies World Amateur Championships in Damascus, Syria yesterday and the winner of the main event was Thailand's Dechawat Poomjaeng.
