The German Masters brings a full ranking event back to Germany for the first time since 1997 where John Higgins beat John Parrott 9-7 in the final. The event will be staged in Germany's capital city of Berlin in one of their biggest arena's the Tempodrom, where tickets for the final has already sold out.
Eight wildcards from Germany and surrounding countries will be playing the eight lowest ranked players from qualifying in the wildcard round. He faces Belgium prodigy and European U-21 champion Luca Brecel who looks set to join the main tour next season as he turns 16. The winner plays Ricky Walden in the final 32.
Another exciting first round tie puts crowd favourite and former winner of this event, Ronnie O'Sullivan against Welshman Dominic Dale who has had an impressive season winning a PTC event against Martin Gould by getting three Snooker's in the deciding frame. Dom currently lives in nearby Vienna, Austria. So he will be getting lots of local support.
