Apologies for the delay, here are the second annual Maximum Snooker Awards for the year of 2011! Who will win the coveted player of the year award and there a few new awards including best break of the year.

First part of my review of the year in snooker for 2011, covering January to June. These months saw an exciting new version of snooker the Shoot-out, an amazingly recieved new event in Germany and Judd Trump's first full ranking title victory.

World Snooker will once again be staging its Q School, starting on May 13th 2012. This year there will be a two year tour card available for the 12 semi-finalists that come through the three events at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield.

Tom Ford the world no.26 from Leicester won PTC3 last year and won another event today as he beat Martin Gould 4-3 in the final of PTC11 2011 at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

Ding Junhui followed on from his 3rd pro 147 on Thursday he went on make another one today against young amateur James Cahill in PTC11. The next day Jamie Cope made a maximum break, this time against Kurt Maflin.

Former UK Champions Matthew Stevens and Ding Junhui both made 147 breaks in PTC12 today. This comes just weeks after Mike Dunn, David Gray and Ricky Walden made maximum breaks themselves in pro competition. These are the 82nd and 83rd officially recognised 147's in pro snooker history.

Judd Trump has beaten Mark Allen 10-8 in the final to win the Williamhill.com snooker UK Championship 2011 title at the Barbican Centre, York. It is the young Bristolian's second title in a year and his first UK crown.
