The tournament will be sponsored by PTT, Thailand's state-owned energy company, and EGAT, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. It will run from July 11 to 17 at the World Trade Centre in Bangkok.
There will be 20 two-man teams from around the world, making it a truly global event. Eight teams are seeded into the event based on the position of players in the world rankings, and as the host nation, Thailand will have two teams. Details on the other teams will follow.

It is good to see this event finally being comfirmed. You can read more of my thoughts about it here. I am surprised that it will be happening so soon also. The players season starts even earlier this year with the PTC events in June so they will be keeping busy. Interesting to see that Thailand will be getting two teams also, will mean that we get to see more players than just James Wattana and Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon.
