Defending champion Mark Selby trailed an inspired John Higgins 10-4 earlier in the match but claimed nine of the 10 following frames to take a 13-11 lead heading in to the last session of this epic best-of-35 final.

In the final session Selby shrugged off a controversial refereeing decision which went against him in the 31st frame to make cool breaks of 131 and 75 under pressure to see out the match a comfortable 18-15 winner and lift his third World Snooker Championship trophy in just four years at the Crucible.
