Wyldecrest Park Homes To Sponsor Welsh Open

World Snooker is delighted to announce Wyldecrest Park Homes as the new title sponsor of the Welsh Open. The world ranking tournament, which will be called the Wyldecrest Park Homes Welsh Open, will run from February 14 to 20 at the Newport Centre.

Star names such as Ronnie O'Sullivan, Neil Robertson, defending champion John Higgins and home favourites Mark Williams, Matthew Stevens and Ryan Day will be gunning for the title.

World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn said: "Wyldecrest sponsored the World Seniors Championship last November and we are thrilled that they deemed that event such a success that they have decided to sign up for the Welsh Open.

"We've just secured a new three-year broadcast agreement with the BBC which includes the Welsh Open, so with a new title sponsor as well, the tournament has a fresh lease of life. This is another step forward as we usher in a great era for snooker.

"The standard of play this season has been phenomenally high, and alongside the team from Wyldecrest we're looking forward to a great week of snooker."
