The Nottingham duo of Anthony Hamilton & Michael Holt both shocked their higher ranked opponents on day two of the Betfair German Masters in Berlin, by beating no.1 seed Judd Trump and Mark Williams respectively.

It's the first day of action at the Betfair German Masters 2013 in Berlin and the big story of the day was the surprise exit of John Higgins to Peter Lines. Andrew Higginson & Norway's Kurt Maflin also beat higher ranked opponents to progress.

15-year-old rising snooker star, Shane Castle, has been chosen to represent England at the 2013 European Under 21 Championship, next March in Serbia. 

Martin Gould won his second televised pro tournament, by beating Mark Allen in the final of the Betfair Snooker Shoot Out at Blackpool to take home the trophy and the £32,000 first prize.
