Robertson won his first UK Championship in 2013, which also completed his 'triple crown' of snooker's main three tournaments. After making an astounding maximum 147 break in the sixth frame, Robertson slowly started pulling away and finished the first session 5-3 ahead of Liang Wenbo.
China's No 2 Wenbo was appearing in only his second ranking event final, and the nerves started to show as uncharacteristic errors crept into his game, and Robertson kept his cool to eventually see out the match a comfortable 10-5 winner.
This victory was Robertson's 11th in 17 ranking event finals, an admirable record indeed. He faces Marco Fu in the first round of The Masters, can he add to his bulging trophy cabinet at Alexandra Palace next month?
