EPTC5 Day 2 - Perry's Power

Day 2 of action at the fifth European Players Tour Championship event in Hamm, Germany where the last first round matches were played and the top 16 were decided.

More top players were in action today at EPTC5. First up was former World no.12 'Gentleman' Joe Perry. He had a bad 09/10 season and didnt get a good start this season, but with impressive 4-0 wins over Rune Kampe and Matthew Stevens he was showing some class. Next up was PTC order of merit leader Mark Selby who is the man on form this season, but Joe was not deterred and won comfortably 4-2 to book a place in the final 16 on sunday.

Also through to their debut PTC final 16 is Northern Ireland's top player, Mark Allen. He beat Mark Williams 4-3 in a tense decider in what was his best Snooker of the season, he next faces EPTC4 winner Stephen Lee who edged out Alfie Burden 4-2. Shaun Murphy also made it through to another PTC last 16 by beating Ian McCulloch 4-1.
