18.44 - And we are on to the evening's match, hethe last remaining quarter-final match between two-times Masters champion Mark Selby and the 2005 world champion Shaun Murphy.

18.45 - The people at SkyBet have made Mark Selby favourite at 4/6 but I think there is some milage in backing Shaun Murphy at 6/5. He seemed the stronger of the two in the previous round and won the 2nd championship league group last week.

19.57 - A break of 58 helps Selby get the better of a slow opening encounter. In the second frame it went down to the colours, Selby fails to get position on the final deciding black and sticks it up for Murphy after a poor safety shot and the Magician slots it in to level the match at 1-1.

20.05 - A fantastic break off a long red gets Murphy in to score 88 to take the frame to lead 2-1.

20.23 - And after being 1-0 down at the start of the match, Murphy comes back to lead 3-1 going in to the interval. Selby had many chances in that fourth frame but in the end its just his potting that let him down. His pot % is as low as 79% at the moment, it needs to improve for him to stand any chance when they resume.

21.07 - Breaks of 72 and 65 help Murphy take a commanding lead of 5-1. Selby had a chance to clear to win the last frame but missed the final yellow off its spot.

21.19 - Incredible from Selby. He gets in early in the in the 7th frame and attempts a maximum break. He even manages to flick the difficult red off the cushion and get on to the black from it but he runs out of position on the final red and misses it. Its still a break of 112 that reduces his deficit to 5-2 behind.
